Oil Derivations, Subsidy and SURE-P Refunds: Nine Oil Producing States Receive N625.43bn in Two Years, N1.1trn Still Outstanding

December 2, 2022 in Latest News, Press Releases

Nine oil-producing states received a total of N625.43 billion 13 percent oil derivation, subsidy and SURE-P refunds from the Federation Account in the last two years, 2021-2022.

The states that received the refunds dating from 1999 to 2021 are Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo and Rivers.

Data obtained from the Federation Account Department, Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, show that a total of N477.2 billion was released to the nine states as refund of the 13 percent derivation fund on withdrawal from Excess Crude Account (ECA) without deducting derivation from 2004 to 2019, leaving an outstanding balance of N287.04 billion.

The States also got N64.8 billion as refund of the 13 per cent derivation fund on deductions made by NNPC without payment of derivation to Oil Producing States from 1999 to December.

The benefitting States still have an outstanding balance of N860.59 billion windfall from the refunds, which was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the figures, under the 13 per cent derivation fund on withdrawal from ECA without deducting derivation from 2004 to 2019, Abia State received N4.8 billion with outstanding sum of N2.8 billion, Akwa-Ibom received N128 billion with outstanding sum of N77 billion, Bayelsa with N92.2bn, leaving an outstanding of N55 billion.

Cross River got a refund N1.3 billion with a balance N792 million, Delta State received N110 billion, leaving a balance of N66.2 billion, Edo State received N11.3billion, with a balance of N6.8billion, Imo State, N5.5 billion, with an outstanding sum of N3.3 billion, Ondo State, N19.4 billion with an outstanding sum of N11.7bn while Rivers State was paid 103.6 billion, with an outstanding balance of N62.3 billion.

The States were paid in eight instalments between October 2, 2021 and January 11, 2022, while the ninth to twelfth instalments are still outstanding.

On the 13 per cent derivation fund on deductions made by NNPC without payment of derivation, the nine oil producing States were paid in three instalments this year, with the remaining 17 instalments outstanding.

Under this category, Abia State received N1.1 billion, Akwa-Ibom, N15 billion, Bayelsa, N11.6 billion, Cross River, N432 million, Delta State, N14.8 billion, Edo State, N2.2 billion, Imo State, N2.9, billion, Ondo State, N3.7 billion, and Rivers State, N12.8 billion.

Meanwhile, the benefitting States shared N9.2billion in three instalments in April, August and November 2022 as refunds on the 13 per cent derivation exchange rate differential on withdrawal from the ECA.

The three largest benefitting States were Akwa Ibom (N1.6billion), Delta State (N1.4billion) and Rivers State (N1.32billion).

Similarly, all the nine states received N4.7 billion each, totalling N42.34 billion as refunds on withdrawals for subsidy and SURE-P from 2009 to 2015. The refund, which is for all the states and local government councils, was paid on 10th November, 2022.

The Federation Account also paid N3.52billion each as refund to local government councils on withdrawals for subsidy and SURE-P from 2009 to 2015 on the same date in November.

President Buhari considers it a matter of honour and decency that debts owed to states or anyone for that matter be repaid, and in time without regards to their partisan political affiliations.

The President will continue to render equal service to all the states of the federation and an acknowledgment of this by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the others is not out of place.

The refunds to the oil producing states will continue.

Veteran actor chinwetelagu brutalised and arrested

Nigerian soldiers today, harassed, embarrassed, br***lised and arrested Chinwetalu Agu in Onisha today for wearing biafrian uniform.

I seriously weep for Nigeria, so people no longer have right to freedom and expression of themselves.

What was his crime?
Is this the protection they promised us?
Who gave them the right to humiliate him?

Biafra is his belief, he has a freedom to express his beliefs without permission from anyone.

A legend that has represented Nigeria in so many ways through his acting skills was today humiliated by the same country he represents.

I WEEP FOR NIGERIA………….

Nipah virus: new virus without cure emerges in India, causes seizures and brain swelling

Fears Nipah virus without cure will become the world’s next pandemic after a boy was killed by the illness that causes seizures and brain swelling

Health organizations are trying to contain an outbreak of the Nipah virus that has a much higher death rate than Covid and causes vomiting, seizures and brain swelling.

A young Indian boy was killed by the illness and there are fears it could cause the next worldwide pandemic, heightened by the fact that Nipah has a very high rate of mutation.

According to the World Heath Organisation, Nipah’s mortality rate ranges between 40 and 75% compared to Covid’s 1%.

“The virus has been shown to spread from person-to-person in these outbreaks, raising concerns about the potential for NiV to cause a global pandemic,” the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Officials in India’s Kerala state are concerned after the 12-year-old died at the weekend, prompting efforts to trace his contacts with new infections already confirmed.

According to reports, the boy had visited two other hospitals before he died, meaning he potentially came close to hundreds of people.

The boy’s immediate contacts have been tested but are all negative.

State health minister Veena George said: “That these eight immediate contacts tested negative is a great relief.”

Nipah has been listed by the WHO as a dangerous virus that needs researching further

The fruit bat-borne disease, which first jumped from pigs to farmers in Malaysia in 1999, has an incubation period of up to 45 days, meaning a person could spread it for more than a month before falling sick.

There is no cure or vaccine for Nipah yet. Patients are only given supportive medical care.

Dr Melanie Saville, head of vaccine research and development at the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, earlier told The Sun: “Nipah is one of the viruses that could absolutely be the cause of a new pandemic. Several things about Nipah are very concerning.

“Most crucially, we shouldn’t just be looking at Nipah.

“We know that a future pandemic is inevitable, and there are many other emerging infectious diseases that are recognised as having pandemic potential.”

Uche Maduagwu Rejects N20M to Date Mercy Eke Because Of Her indecent Dressing

Actor Uche Maduagwu has rejected N20M to date Mercy Eke because of her dressing says even if you beg him he will never date her asking her to respect their culture.

Uche Maduagwu slammed Mercy Eke after she shared some pre-wedding photos that she was half-naked saying she needs prayers if at the age of 28 she has to go half-naked just to stay relevant on the net while her colleagues are showing their intelligence. After that, he has called her out once again over her dressing and this time around claiming even if you beg him with N20M to date Mercy Eke he will never agree as he’s an A-list artist who takes not less than N5M to attend an event and nothing less than N2M for a movie.

According to Uche Maduagwu, even if Mercy Eke buys ten houses he doesn’t care as all he cares about is her mature dressing and her photos show she lacks that asking her to dress the way she wants to be addressed and respect their culture. Uche Maduagwu made a lot of sense with his statement asking Mercy Eke to dress the way she wants to be addressed and show some sense of maturity by exhibiting her intelligence and not her body to stay relevant but he spoiled it all with his claims of not dating her since we all know she will never date him. Even if dem beg me with 20 million naira to date Mercy, I will not agree. I am an A-List celeb, get paid 5 million just to attend events, and take nothing less than 2 million per movie, even if she buy ten houses, we no care, we only care about your mature dressing, madam dress the way you want to be addressed, respect our culture.

Make So Much Money by Investing In TBC.1 tbc for #60000

Today we will be introducing you to a life changing investment that will propel you to wealth in 2017.
This investment is about a cryptocurrency that?s on a fast rise. According to the popular saying, ?The next set of millionaires won?t emerge from Oil and Gas but from those who invested in Cryptocurrency.
This is a short presentation about TBC (The Billion Coin)
First of all have you heard about BTC(Bitcoin)?
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency (online money) universally accepted with a dollar equivalent (it?s in dollars).
Bitcoin was released in January 2009 with the price of 1btc =$0.008.
From Jan 2009 ? Jan 2010 there was no exchange or market for it, then bitcoin was yet to hit the market. According to Wikipedia, user ?SmokeTooMuch? auctioned 10,000 BTC for $50 no buyer was found.
Bitcoin hit the market (became tradable) in Feb 2010 for the price of $0.008 to one btc. And by April it 1bitcoin hit $1.
We have all heard the story of the Norwegian man (a student) who purchased $27 worth of bitcoin in 2009. With just $27 then he was able to purchase 5000btc, he forgot about his investment because it?s so little, until 2013 when bitcoin became widespread, his $27 has turned to $886,000.
Bitcoin grew from $0.008 in 2009 to $1250 in 2013 that?s over 15,625,000% in 4years. That?s the greatest return of investment every witnessed on earth.
Those who invested in it earlier are also called early miners, and they all made massive profit from it. The time to mine bitcoin is far gone and it?s not profitable anymore.
There?s a new coin people are investing in. It started in March this year with the value of 1tbc = $0.001.
Now 1tbc = $249.14. Already it has increased with 3,112,500% since its IPO (Initial Public Offer) TBC is a cryptocurrency which currently grows at the rate of 1-5% daily until it reaches its ultimate value.
Note: TBC is yet to hit the market (similarly to bitcoin when it was released) it is widely expected to hit the market by March/April next year (A year from when it was released also like bitcoin)
If TBC really do hit the market next year this will be one of the greatest source of wealth. Most people did not invest in bitcoin because of lack of believe as it?s the first cryptocurrency, now people are pumping in millions to invest in TBC because it?s widely expected to be the next big thing. A coin that finally has the capacity to overtake bitcoin. You can buy 1 tbc for #60000
If all goes according to plan. Buying 1tbc now when it lunches next year could turn you to a millionaire.
It?s just like buying and stocking shares and waiting for its maturity date.
Lastly like all investment there is risk, no one will be held accountable for any loss of funds. Invest wisely.
For more information and how to purchase TBC contact us via call 08032577547 0r 08085288381 email jclick094@gmail.com
Lastly endeavour not to purchase tbc from unverified seller so you won?t be sold TBcoins in place of TBC (The Billion Coin). Contact the numbers above or buy from TBC website thebillioncoin.org no other means is advised.
