Dr Muslim Omoleke, the Administrative Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ekiti State was hijacked by obscure shooters on Thursday, November third.
Omoleke was hijacked at Iwaraja people group, close Ilesa in Osun State, alongside his child and authority driver on his way back to Ekiti state from authority visits to Ondo and Osun States. The shooters drove them into a backwoods in Ijeshaland and later discharged his child and driver together with the auto.
The representative of INEC in Ekiti State, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin, who affirmed the episode said a report has been made to security offices in Ondo, Osun and Ekiti States, including that the abductors are yet to reach the INEC and the casualty's family.
Likewise affirming the abducting, the representative for the State Police Command, DSP Alberto Adeyemi, said the INEC boss was not captured in Ekiti State but rather
