We’ll rescue Chibok girls, FG insists

The Federal Government yesterday declared that it  will go to any length to secure the release of the over 200 schoolgirls abducted by terrorist sect, Boko Haram from Government Girls’ Secondary Scool, Chibok in Borno State.
This was even as female ministers in the Federal Executive Council condemned the abduction of the girls a month ago, describing it as heinous crime.
The Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, while stating that the government had established a central information centre on the abduction of the Chibok girls from where the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mike Omiri would pass on information to the media, said: “We are ready to go to any length to secure the release of these our unfortunate daughters that have been in captivity. Everything is being done in relation to every operational measures that will be taken particularly by the Nigerian armed Forces in collaboration with foreign assistance that has been offered by different nations of the world.”
