11 Year Old, Nigerian Pop Star Mya K, Releases New Single And Video "For Now"UNN undergrad commits SUICIDE this morning!
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka woke this morning to a most grizzly sight. A young undergraduate- who was identified as Onyebuchi Okonkwo- a 300-Level student of Physics and Astronomy
and resident in the famous Franco Hostel hanged himself in a
dilapidated structure close to the Franco football pitch on Campus.
This suicide comes on the heels of last week’s double suicide- first
in in Ebonyi State University where 400 Level undergraduate, Mr Michael
Onwe died tragically in his room at number 16 Ibe Street Abakaliki and
then of Osun state polytechnic graduate- Muili Amoulate
The students of UNN woke up to the appalling scene- shocked beyond their wits as this act is assumed to be pretty unpopular among the Igbo race or Nigerians for that matter. The crowd of students who gathered around the body- still hanging by the time Cruise Nigeria got to the scene- kept asking why a young man would do such a thing to himself.
Cruise Nigeria was able to identify what looked like a suicide note lying adjacent to the hanging body- and it read simply, “The controversy is over”.
Further inquiry from yours sincerely suggests that the lad took his life around 12 midnight or thereabout as some students claim to have seen him leaving the hostel at about that time.
“We thought he was going for night class… It was only this morning that we came out to confirm what he was doing there”
The numbness among the students gathered around the body has been upsetting, to say the least and has highlighted the very thin line between frustration and death!

A section of the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, has been gutted by fire.
The fire incident, which was said to have occurred at about 10. 00 pm Tuesday night affected the main reception( Fadaa) of the emir’s palace.
The incident, PMNews gathered, in which valuable items worth millions of Naira were destroyed, was reportedly caused by electrical fault.
The state government has sympathised with the monarch over the incident.
Speaking after inspection of the scene of the incident , the leader of government delegation,who is also the Secretary to the State Government,Alhaji Isiaka Gold, said government was deeply touched by the incident, praying God to forestall any future recurrence.
Gold, who was accompanied by the Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Issa Bawa, Special Advisers to the Governor on Emergency and Relief Services as well as Security, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi and Alhaji Yinka Aluko respectively, assured the Emir of government ‘s assistance.
Earlier, the Emir , Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari , had thanked God that no life was lost as a result of the incident and also thanked the state government for its concern.

The stunning actress, whohas grown through the years, to become the most recognizable face from Nollywood, had a little family party recently, in honour of hermother Benedatte Nnaji who clocked 60. And there were just a few people in attendance,including Genny’s dad, herfriends Ndidi Obioha and Data Okorodudu , and her daughter Chimebuka . Chimebuka , Genevieve’s daughter, whose identity (and that of her father) had been shrouded in secrecy, was part of the revelry. Looking very much like her mother, the young lady seemed quiet and laidback, according to NET sources who saw her at the party. We’re told she lived with Genevieve’s parents for years, but ‘has a solid relationship’ with her mother. No one knows who her father is, and Genevieve will not say, in spite of lingering speculation and interests. Insiders tell us Chimebuka is already in her 20s, and currently undergoing national youthservice.
